Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Nutshell. They’re short on purpose. By creating an account, you agree to them.
Accepting the terms
Creating an account counts as acceptance. If you don’t agree to these terms, don’t use the service. We may update them from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
What Nutshell is
Nutshell is an AI-powered ebook reader. You upload personal ebooks, and we generate explanations and audio to help you understand and enjoy them. Your library, notes, and reading position are tied to your account and kept private to you.
Your responsibilities
Only upload books you have the right to use — ones you own, have licensed, or are otherwise permitted to read. Don’t abuse the service, overload it, or use it to break the law.
AI-generated content
Explanations, summaries, and audio are produced by AI and meant to be supplementary. They can be helpful, but they can also be wrong. Trust the book over the model.
Limitation of liability
Nutshell is a tool for reading books you already have. We’re not liable for lost notes, broken exports, or decisions you make based on AI-generated content. Use it in good faith, and keep your own backups.
The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep Nutshell reliable, but we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Features may change or be removed.
Changes to these terms
When the terms change, we’ll update the date above and do our best to let you know. If a change is significant and you don’t agree, you can stop using the service.
